Description Kyryll A Minrneko 2006-10-03 17:50:17 UTC
multimedia/pwcbsd single distfile is unfetchable. For the reason that could be location dependant: I'm located in Kyiv, Ukraine, subnet 212.9.255.x

How-To-Repeat: $ cd /usr/ports/multimedia/pwcbsd
$ make fetch
===> WARNING: Vulnerability database out of date, checking anyway
===> Found saved configuration for pwcbsd-1.3
=> pwcbsd-1.3.1.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/.
=> Attempting to fetch from http://raaf.atspace.org/.
fetch: http://raaf.atspace.org/pwcbsd-1.3.1.tar.gz: No address record
=> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/.
fetch: ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/pwcbsd-1.3.1.tar.gz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)
=> Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this
=> port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles/ and try again.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/multimedia/pwcbsd.

Strange, maybe it was a temporary problem?

If not could someone please mirror the distfile on the FreeBSD ftp server,
it's only ~60K and at the moment i don't haven any alternate location myself.

Thanks,

Raaf
Comment 3 Kyryll A Minrneko 2006-10-03 21:56:37 UTC
seems like it's permanent, neither raaf.atspace.org nor atspace.org are
resolvable for me (i've tried several different DNS servers in my region).

Unless someone is willing to mirror the distfile i cannot resolve
you problem.

In the meantime you can try these DNS-Servers:

217.146.139.5 (NS1.DE.EU.ORSN.NET)
62.157.101.211 (RESOLVER.DATA-UNION.NET)

These are public nameservers and both resolve raaf.atspace.org fine.
