Dear Alex, INSTALL_PROGRAM has the "strip" option set, but a stripped a shared library is not very useful...graphics/comical seems to use it, but I can't figure out what exactly it's using. 1) I`m approving version update 2) I don`t know why "a stripped (= useless?) .so". It is not useless. I created this port for clamav (old versions has no rar3 support), now i see that it is used (?) by other ports.
