This is a new port x11-fonts/linuxlibertine. Linux Libertine is a font family with a serif typeface. These fonts are free under the terms of GPL and OFL. http://linuxlibertine.sourceforge.net/Libertine-EN.html
This builds fine on my tinderbox and installs on my local machine with no problems, but I'm curious: this port seems to install just the serif fonts. I've used Libertine on Linux systems and there is a sans serif as well (and a monospace, IIRC). The website displays the sans serif fonts. It would be nice to have the rest of the fonts too. Thanks for doing this! -- Chess Griffin GPG Public Key: 0x0C7558C3 http://www.chessgriffin.com

I haven't found sans serif or monospace fonts. The "styles" section of the website [1] lists serif fonts only (except a grotesque). I was thinking about the Liberation fonts. You are quite right about Libertine. Anyway, the ports builds, installs, and works great. State Changed From-To: open->feedback - since this port runs fc-cache, it should be added as a dependency; - could you please avoid to install a copy of the GPL? - it does not seem necesary to include bsd.port.pre.mk. Best regards, -- Th. Thomas.
Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-ports-bugs->thierry Take it.
Ok, done. Regards Björn
