The existing version of p4api is pretty stale. More importantly, it does not support all platforms available now. Perforce now support amd64 pretty well. The documentation format and location has changed for this version. Perforce now compresses their tarballs. I've also tried to make port compatible with PORTDOCS and PORTEXAMPLES conventions in the ports tree.
