Description satwell 2008-10-07 08:40:00 UTC
New port, sysutils/slack. Description:

slack is an evolution from the usual "put files in some central directory"
that is fairly common practice. It's descended from an earlier system its
author also wrote, called "subsets", and uses a multi-stage rsync to fix
some of the problems he had there.

Basically, it's a glorified wrapper around rsync.

Comment 1 satwell 2008-10-07 20:50:43 UTC
I just realized that I missed adding one of the files installed to
pkg-plist. Here's the corrected port.
Comment 2 satwell 2008-10-07 21:58:36 UTC
Oops, looks like the encoding was wrong on the attachment. This one
should be better.

Sorry about all the updates.

Thanks.
Comment 5 satwell 2008-10-20 06:31:08 UTC
Ah ha, I see the problem. I missed changing a shebang from
/usr/bin/perl to ${PERL} for a script called during the build. Fixed.

Also fixed a couple bugs affecting the installation of the slack.conf
config file.
Comment 6 satwell 2008-10-20 17:34:00 UTC
Oh, I just realized that the existence of a perl script during the build
process means that I also need to change USE_PERL5_RUN to USE_PERL5.
This is now fixed as well.
