The current devel/gearmand port tracks the 0.xx upstream branch, and
version 0.39 was recently released. I prefer to upgrade the existing
port to 0.39 to avoid incompatibility breakage with current consumers.

Would you generate a shar file with version 1.1.1 of the port and attach
it to this PR? I will then create devel/gearmand-devel to track that
branch.

Thank you,
Greg

Comment 4 Gasol Wu 2012-09-29 13:57:05 UTC
Recently announcement says as following, but I think create gearmand-devel will be okay, I'll send pr later.

0.39 is the stable release, 1.1.1 is the new ABI abstraction release.

The first development release of the 1.2 tree is ready. There are zero changes in the interface between the 1.0 and 1.2 trees.
