Ship it!', as grog@ would probably put it. I am interested in taking maintainership of this port, if the original maintainer is unavailable or lost interest. I committed the change without changing the maintainer for now I'll keep the PR open to leave time for maintainer to reply Btw I added a couple clang can happily build it.
