You and I don't need to wait for the maintainer to comment. It is considered that all staging is very late, so any patch to support staging is approved automatically above what the maintainer says (in other words, the maintainer should have provided these patches already so they lose the right to approve how its done) However, I will listen if he/she wants to comment. I just checked the logs, the maintainer hasn't been heard from since 2005. Unless I hear something from them quickly, I'll reassign the port to you as well.
Then, please assign the slave port japanese/quit to me too.
