Hi,

I am the author of the port sysutils/mkdesktop. While writing the port seemed like a good idea initially, it turns out that updating it for the latest changes in FreeBSD continuously is nearly an impossible task. The port is already defunct and I request it to be deleted/discontinued.

Please, provide a patch with a deprecation statement and a expiring date.

I can provide a plaint-text deprecation statement and an expiring date of today (22 Dec, 2019). But I have no idea how to turn this into a patch. Can you/someone else please help me out ?

You have only to change the deprecation reason.  I set expiration to 31.12.
