Patch for tt2eot

Obsolete font format that's been suprseded by OTF/TTF/WOFF/WOFF2
Last known major browser to support this is Internet Explorer 11

(In reply to Daniel Engberg from comment #0)
In principal I concur. But my web logs indicate it's
not quite time to retire this. How about either 1)
we revisit this in a year or 2) push the expire out
some 9 mos? If you change it to 9mos. consider this maintainer+

Thanks Daniel! :-)

Chris

Here's my proposal, which removes it on 11/30.
Would this be an agreeable compromise? :-)

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, I don't see why we should keep it around longer as Microsoft is sunsetting IE11 "June 15, 2022" officially.

Because people don't/won't jump ship just because
their vendor no longer supports their browser/version.
In fact some will even fork it, so they can continue
using it -- see Pale Moon fe.
If you feel that strongley about it. Go ahead and do
as you see fit. I don't see this tiny port as any kind
of burden. So I guess I don't see the/any urgency, myself.

Can we do end of sept (next branch will be q4)?
Comment 6 Daniel Engberg freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2022-08-26 19:10:56 UTC
I'll commit this with 2022-09-30 as exp date to avoid it getting included into q4 branch.
