Will MFH this as a bug fix release. Please submit future patches as produced by "git format-patch" against the ports repository if possible. Failing that, please produce them against the root of the ports tree. This makes it easier to apply them. Do not resubmit this patch please, I have manually dealt with it.

Thank you for your contribution. I have decided not to MFH this eventually as 2023Q4 is still on 3.31 and not affected by the bug this update fixes. Please let me know if you would like to have the patche merged anyway.
Hi Robert. Thanks for doing that, and I'll do the patches as you suggest in future. As for 2023Q4, there were no errors in 3.31 that I am aware of so it should be fine to remain as it is, as you suggest. cheers, Jamie
