Hi,

This port has been marked broken since August last year [1], do you have any intention of fixing it or should we retire the port?

The XRootD project was hosted by some European research agency, and they didn't publish XRootD releases for a very long while. At least releases were not easily available on their web site every time I looked. Some very old, broken version was always posted there.

Now I see that Stanford SLAC is hosting the project. There are recent releases that are published on the new website hosted under SLAC.

I will see if the port can be updated to the latest released version.
