Faux pas ?

Wow, my bad. Right... I made a mistake reporting author's address when committing modifications.

Andrey, I am really sorry about that. Unfortunately, this is something that cannot be changed afterwards in git :/

Ganael.

Ganael, no need to feel sorry: I'm not a bit sad but rather thankful to you for this case.
Really, I don't like my own official name (have good reasons to) and have no official way to have it changed either (at least for many years).
I know, the FreeBSD project have clear policy about using official names in all relations to the project and the community. This is also for reasons.
But as I see from this case, using pseudonyms may also be an option in some circumstances. May it also be an option for me, please?

Hello Andrey,

I am not aware of a policy stating you absolutely have to use your real name to contribute to FreeBSD, at least for maintainers. IMHO, nothing prevents you from using the adress / pseudo of your choice when submitting patches.

(this may be another story when becoming a committer)

Cheers,

Ganael.
