Description Jerry Murdock 2002-08-01 15:00:03 UTC
Port upgrade is failing with the following error:

adptfbsd_314: Not in due form: <name>-<version>

adptfbsd_314 is the utility package for an Adaptec raid controller.

I tried "-x adptfbsd_314" on the command line, but it still failed.

This may technically an adaptec problem not using proper naming convention, but should the whole process fail because of one misnamed port?

Thanks,
Jerry

Update portupgrade to the very latest version and run:
touch /var/db/pkg/adptfbsd_314/+IGNOREME
and the package will be ignored.

I think you should still consult the vendor about the name, while
you can use the above feature as a workaround.
