Description Colin Percival 2003-12-02 13:30:15 UTC
Update security/freebsd-update to version 1.5. This adds a "manual mode"
where files can be "updated" even if they have been locally modified. This
makes it possible for people to use FreeBSD Update even if they have
recompiled the system locally.

Feature requested by: Lots and lots of people.
Thinks this enables foot-shooting: Maintainer.

Given that people installing from the 5.2-RELEASE images
will, by definition, have copies of the official binaries,
I think this update can probably wait until the ports tree
freeze is over. However, some people have argued (both at
BSDCon, and over email) that allowing people who have made
local modifications (ie, recompiled) to use FreeBSD Update
is imperative. I'll leave it to those people to decide if
they want to argue for this to be included sooner.
