Nope. It appears to be a transient error with that component *at* download.berlios.de The port is now working for me as well. I would suggest a copy be placed on freebsd.org as well. This is annoying as well, since I waited at least a day to report the error. It was not working yesterday it is now working *after* I sent the gnats report. I now wonder if someone at berlios.de reads freebsd-gnats ;-) > > Does the following work for you? > > # fetch http://download.berlios.de/fetchmail/fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz # make ===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found => fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/. => Attempting to fetch from http://download.berlios.de/fetchmail/. fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz 100% of 23 kB 22 kBps ===> Extracting for fetchmail-6.2.5.2_3 Works fine *now*. > If you want, I can send you a copy of the file. I forgot to mention, I cut the fetchmailconf out of my local Makefile to get it to compile yesterday, the rest of the port worked fine, so no, there was no proxy/firewall in the way. As I said, a transient error that appears to have rectified itself apparently *after* someone read freebsd-gnats. ;) -- - db@db.net http://www.db.net/~db

State Changed From-To: open->closed I added a private backup master site. Sorry for the inconveniency!

It was not working yesterday it is now working *after* > I sent the gnats report. I now wonder if someone at berlios.de reads > freebsd-gnats ;-) Hmm, berlios.de is known to have to have connectivity problems from times to times. I should have added a backup master site in the first place... Regarding the question whether someone at berlios.de reads gnats: It's quite possible, because the current upstream maintainer Matthias Andree is a quite active member of the FreeBSD ports community, and I am sure he is subscribed to the freebsd-ports-bugs mailing list. > > > > > Does the following work for you? > > > > # fetch http://download.berlios.de/fetchmail/fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz > > # make > ===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found > => fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/. > => Attempting to fetch from http://download.berlios.de/fetchmail/. > fetchmailconf-1.43.2.gz 100% of 23 kB 22 kBps > ===> Extracting for fetchmail-6.2.5.2_3 > > Works fine *now*. > > > If you want, I can send you a copy of the file. > > Won't be necessary now. Sorry to say I am not subscribed to the freebsd-ports-bugs mailing list at this time, there's just too much traffic to sort out. Perhaps next year. My thanks to Simon for mirroring the package. -- Matthias Andree <matthias.andree@gmx.de>
