Description giffunip 2006-01-08 01:50:02 UTC
The Yahoo! messenger port doesn't work on FreeBSD-4.11 so I ended up using the linux version for a while. Now I am using FreeBSD-6.0 on amd64 so I tried to update the native port which has better chances of working.

Fix: This should work on FreeBSD-6.0R-i386, IT IS UNTESTED, but given the original port doesn't work on 4.11R it's better than what we had before:
How-To-Repeat: On amd64 this still doesn't work:
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libgtkhtml.so.6" not found, required by "ymessenger.bin", and I'm still fighting with ldconfig :(

Committed, thanks! I think I solved the problem you were having; install
the updated port and follow the instructions printed from pkg-message.
