The following patch contains a backport of https support from Apt 0.7. This is a useful feature that would be nice to have now, even though there is not yet a stable release of Apt 0.7.
Any chance a committer can take this one? I'm the maintainer of the port and would really like to see this patch get applied. Thanks!
