the devel/valgrind port checks for the existence of /usr/lib32 to see if to build the 32-bit section or not. freebsd 9 adds this directory to the mtree directory lists, so it will always exist and even get recreated if removed. changing the test to check for a file inside /usr/lib32/ fixes the test and the port successfully builds on 9-amd64 with WITHOUT_LIB32 Fix: Patch attached with submission follows:
