The problematic commit had already been reverted, so this patchset applied without issue. Afterwards I changed two instances of EXTRACT_CMD to TAR (currently equivalent but TAR is guaranteed to always work) http://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/ports/356137 Thanks!
