Description John Marino freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2014-06-20 17:17:24 UTC
Hi Daniel,
We are making a push to eliminate interactive ports. Yours (hunch) obviously has a listed maintainer but it hasn't been updated in 9 years.

Can we:
1) deprecate and eliminate it
2) Convert it to a regular port

If neither, can you explain why this has to be interactive and why it deserves a place in the tree even though no packages are being built for it because of it's interactive nature?

Thanks,
John

[maintainer] This port can be eliminated. I don't think anyone uses it.

A commit references this bug:

Author: marino
Date: Sat Jun 21 13:18:06 UTC 2014
New revision: 358697
URL: http://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/ports/358697

Log:
Deprecate interactive port security/hunch for removal in 2 months

This unstaged port would need to be converted to a regular, staged port
  in order to undeprecate it.
