Few ideas for improvements: - GH_PROJECT defaults to PORTNAME, no need to set it - Echoing stuff in post-install will only show info to users building from ports. This could be converted to pkg-message so that both ports and package users will see it and it makes Makefile less cluttered. - Portlint issues some warnings. Please check your work with ports-mgmt/portlint before submitting.
