The net-mgmt/rancid is pointing to an old version of rancid which was superseded by rancid series 3. There is no point to keep rancid version 2 in the ports tree. Recommended actions: - retire net-mgmt/rancid - rename net-mgmt/rancid3 to net-mgmt/rancid and remove conflicts to old rancid
I agree. Let's deprecate it first though with a kind message to inform users that they need to move to rancid3 and that the need to fix their configs otherwise rancid-run will delete all their devices...
net/rancid3 Maintainer is Committer, assign accordingly

Port will be removed at the end of this quarter. I may provide a MOVED entry at this time so users are offered the upgrade to net-mgmt/rancid3, but if they do not modify their routers.db file before the upgrade the first rancid-run will delete all their devices from their repository.
