Created attachment 188946 [details] new port py-chetah3 cheetah only supports py2.x There is a fork of this named cheetah3 that supports py2 and py3. I suggest that a new py-cheetah3 port is created to replace devel/py-cheetah.
I am also looking for this version. I have 3.1.0 in my local tree. Shane: do you want to be the maintainer of a new port?
see also 229889
Shane: I will proceed on Friday if there is maintainer timeout on my PR (https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=229889). If that occurs would you want to be the maintainer of the new port? I will merge the two diffs to create the new port.
yes I am ok being maintainer - using your newer 3.1.0 port Isn't it now preferred to set DISTVERSION instead of PORTVERSION?
(In reply to Shane from comment #4) Proceeding with the other ticket and making you maintainer. The docs say PORTVERSION is derived from DISTVERSION, but it looks like PORTVERSION is more widely used. I tend to use it.
