This version has been superseded by 9.56.x long time ago, please deprecate and remove by 2023-06-30.
Hi Michael, Thanks for the info. We don't have 9.56 in the ports tree yet. ghostscript8-{base,x11} and ghostscript9-{base,x11} have no maintainer. Pinging hrs@ to see if he agrees it is safe to remove these ports.
(In reply to Fernando Apesteguía from comment #1) We do: https://www.freshports.org/print/ghostscript9-agpl-base/ I have been using it for years. They just changed the license.
(In reply to Fernando Apesteguía from comment #1) There are also other ghostscript related issues reported which are either broken or do not reproduce anymore. No reaction from port maintainer. I assume that he's not effectively maintaining them anymore. I have tried to evaluate all open issues and added comments whether they reproduce or not. I am eager to have last 9.x fixed and 10 into ports.

Commited, thanks for reporting!
(In reply to Daniel Engberg from comment #5) Thank you! I have much more for ghostscript, because there are many outdated ports. Can you have a look at them as well: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?email1=michael.osipov%40siemens.com&emailassigned_to1=1&emailreporter1=1&emailtype1=exact&list_id=593966&order=changeddate%20DESC%2Copendate&query_format=advanced&resolution=---
