Description Lorenzo Salvadore freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2023-02-18 10:58:25 UTC
GCC 4.8 is unsupported upstream and should be removed from the ports tree.
Comment 1 Gerald Pfeifer freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2023-02-18 12:37:06 UTC
And when Lorenzo says "unsupported usptream" that's been the case
since June 2015 - approaching eight years now.

GCC 4.8 was initially released in March 2013 - ten years ago.

    lang/gcc48: Set EXPIRATION_DATE

Commit 2c8ea965a6490057e4d4bb3ee5b46045352f55f0 has set an expiration
date for sysutils/uefi-edk2-bhyve-csm, which is the last port dependent
    on lang/gcc48 with default options.

Hence, finally set an expiration date to the unsupported upstream
lang/gcc48 port. Expiration date is set one month after
    the expiration of sysutils/uefi-edk2-bhyve-csm.
