CHROMECAST option should be enable by default. it is helpful for user which want cast video or audio to chromecast devices. VLC includes this support long time ago and I think it is well mature and it working well right now. Btw another vlc binary packages (Linux distros, OpenBSD, NetBSD, etc) include this support by default.
I'll add it to the vlc 3.0.21 update I'm working on.
