multimedia/plexmediaserver: Update to 1.40.4.8679

 * New update from Plex.tv

  Changelog:

   https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server/30447/632

    NEW:
(Metadata) Add support for additional TVDB episode
orderings on TV Show preferences. Requires metadata
      refresh.
     (Web) Updated to 4.132.2

    FIXES:
(Library) Multi-episode files will only retain one of
     the episodes.
(Live-TV) Tuning slots were not properly released if
the tune was canceled during startup, such as what
     happens when rapidly changing channels.
(Scanner) Removed deprecated support for modern metadata
     agent scan/refresh via Scanner cli.
(Scanner) Scanner would not ignore #snapshot/s directories.
(Scanner) Scanner would not ignore @eaDir copy directories.
(Serialization) The viewUpdatedAt field would not be
     included when requested.
(Tonemapping) Hardware Tonemapping failed on intel devices
     when run on Synology.
(Transcoder) Corrected quality parameter for devices without
     rate control.
(Transcoder) Hardware Transcoding failed when using an AMD
     or Intel device on Windows.
(Transcoder) Windows would fail to HW transcode after an
RDP session is started or ended.

  QA:

   portlint OK (0 fatal errors)

Committed - Thanks!

For the future, could you please provide a git format-patch instead? That saves the committers the hassle of crafting the commit message from scratch and setting the author field manually :)
Comment 3 Ben Shertenlieb 2024-08-01 11:21:22 UTC
(In reply to Joel Bodenmann from comment #2)

Thank you for committing my update and patch however, I have no plans to use git in the future... For what little I do it is total overkill, and I believe that requiring users/maintainers to submit patches of any kind to the use of one program or platform goes against everything that FreeBSD stands for...

Once it is decided that git is the only way to submit patches is the day I will give up the two ports I wish to spend my time to maintain...
