Description mvh 2001-07-25 16:10:11 UTC
Both the postfix port and the cyrus-imapd port use processes named
'master' to control their services, and they both install a 'master.8'
manpage, so if you install both ports one of the man pages will be
overwritten. This is quite likely as both are used for email...

Fix:

Perhaps rename the manpages? I assume that this has come up before so
I leave it up to the ports people...
How-To-Repeat: Install cyrus-imapd and postfix.

Assign to postfix maintainer since it's more of a moving target

Postfix doesn't want to change their ways, leave it up to portmgr

The CONFLICTS directive is now available to register this kind
of package conflict. Someone needs to add an appropriate
CONFLICTS directive to all the affected ports.

Perhaps ume can take a look at this long-standing PR to see what
ports might need CONFLICTS.
