      Many of the ports (especially Gnome) attempt to fetch from the Yggdrasil FTP server, which appears to be off-line.  Make will pause until the fetch times out and then proceed to fetch from another site.

Fix: 

Eliminate references to Yggdrasil FTP server from make files.
How-To-Repeat:       Attempt to build Gnome from the ports collection.
