Did the 65-QT codec break a video made with Quicktime (apple) or open
or lib quicktime?

I can confirm this. qt65dlls-20040704.tar.bz2 breaks audio with mplayer from
ports with all recent movie trailers from apple.com I've tried. The older
pack works fine.
