Description Erik Greenwald 2005-09-05 20:10:09 UTC
fm blurbs:

7.4.2:
This release includes the addition of the Interactive Shot Selection
Tool for real-time ray-tracing geometric visualization. The tool will
take advantage of clusters and SMP hardware similar to RISE,
providing a master job manager, a slave compute daemon for network
distributed processing, and a client for interacting with and viewing
the models. New options were added to the rt, rtedge, and rtxray
ray-trace tools. A beta of a geometry analysis quality tool, g_qa, is
now available. There are also improvements to the fast memory
debugging as well as several bugfixes.

7.4.0:
This release includes many significant feature enhancements,
including the addition of an impressive high-performance triangle
path-tracer, a completely rewritten "rtarea" tool for computing
exposed and presented geometric surface areas, benchmark suite
enhancements including the installation of a new "benchmark" tool for
performance testing, the inclusion example BRL-CAD geometry databases
during installation, a new installation filesystem organization that
supports common package distribution systems, and several bugfixes
	and other improvements.

State Changed

Committed with two slight modifications, thanks.

- share/brlcad -> %%DATATDIR%% in order to make portlint happy
- keep the shell wrapper script in ${PREFIX}/brlcad/bin and symlink
it to ${LOCALBASE}/bin (like it was before) in order to fix the plis.
