databases/gauche-gdbm is broken with lang/gauche-0.8.5_1. However, test (make check under ext/dbm) passes if only building lang/gauche. So that, database/gauche-gdbm seems no longer necessary. Fix: remove databases/gauche-gdbm, activate ext/dbm in lang/gauche. How-To-Repeat: build databases/gauche-gdbm-0.8.5. run "make check". test will fail.

So that, he mention it may be safer to distribute gauche-gdbm separately. If that's the case, this problem report becomes fix request of gauche-gdbm-0.8.5 which is broken if lang/gauche is upgreaded to 0.8.5_1. best regards, -- Takehito Sasaki
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?q=86293 Folks, what is the current status of this problem? -- Pav Lucistnik <pav@oook.cz> <pav@FreeBSD.org> And now something completely different.

Also considering a way to re-do the build system so a "live" build of gauche is no longer necessary, but it would completely remove the "check" target. > And now something completely different.
