I installed racoon port to prepare for configuring IPsec VPN. since I had to add IPSEC to the kernel, I rebooted before I enabled racoon's daemons. On reboot, I saw these warnings: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/iked.sh: WARNING: $iked is not set properly - see rc.conf(5). Starting jabber. /usr/local/etc/rc.d/kinkd.sh: WARNING: $kinkd is not set properly - see rc.conf(5). Starting lighttpd. Starting nagios. Starting notify. postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system Starting postgrey. eval: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/spmd: not found eval: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/iked: not found eval: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/kinkd: not found /usr/local/etc/rc.d/spmd.sh: WARNING: $spmd is not set properly - see rc.conf(5). . Fix: I haven't investigated a fix. How-To-Repeat: install racoon2 port, reboot.
