Please do us all a favor and submit a PR / port next time.

I did exactly what it said in Chapter 10 of the porter's handbook. I'm
sorry if I did something wrong. This was the first time I submitted
something. What exactly should I do different next time?

The patches arrived damaged - they got linewrapped.

Can you please resend them, and make sure they arrive unmangled?

No, this is still bad. Lines are not wrapped now, good, but all tabs
were replaced with spaces.

Please try again. If you can't force your mailer to preserve the patch,
try compressing the patch or uploading it somewhere on www.

It's the classic Microsoft security-bulletin formula: "The vulnerability is
important (never dangerous); you have nothing to fear and no reason to regret
trusting us; we have no intention of apologizing for it or even explaining it
adequately; now go get your patch, shut up, and be grateful nothing bad has
happened.
