Description Thomas-Martin Seck 2007-05-30 12:10:01 UTC
Create a new port www/squid30 -- a development snapshot of the
upcoming Squid 3.0. This port is based on the latest PRE6-tarball
and adds all applicable patches as of 2007-05-29 that are published on
<http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v3/3.0/changesets/>. The port's
version number is derived from the date of the latest integrated
patchset.

Note that Squid 3.0 is a bit odd as that it adds some new features
(most notably integrated ICAP support) but lacks some 2.6 features,
eg Follow-XFF.

The patch submitted is a patch against www/squid; I can provide a shar
archive of the port if this is desired in this case.

The following files need to be removed from CVS:

- files/icap-2.6-bootstrap.patch
- files/icap-2.6-core.patch
- files/patch-aa

Fix: Apply this patch after repocopying www/squid to www/squid30:

This looks like something went very wrong[tm] when the port was
patched up from squid26 to squid30: files/patch-src-cf.data.pre
should only contain one hunk, not two. I learned that patch(1) likes
to choke on the large ICAP related patches, maybe this has been the
case here, too.

I sent a copy of files/patch-src-cf.data.pre from my development tree
to miwi@ in a separate mail.
