support sendmail 8.10.1 for FreeBSD systems. be aware you have to move and modify your mailer configuration, to reflect that mail.local is not SUID root any more. add to your mc file: MODIFY_MAILER_FLAGS(`LOCAL', `+S')dnl Fix: install this shell archive in the ports tree
Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-ports->obrien I've got an interestinthis.
I moved the port to /usr/local (PREFIX should be work). Then added the support for mailer.conf. An finaly added the new release. # This is a shell archive. Responsible Changed From-To: obrien->gshapiro Greg is now our Sendmail expert. :-)
Here is the new port, udated an improved. If someone like it :) Tested on FreeBSD 2.2.8 Tested on FreeBSD 3.4 Tested on FreeBSD 4.1 On system without 'mailer.conf' it is installed in the standard directorys. On systems with 'mailer.conf' it is moved to '$PREFIX'. smrsh will now use the right path and directory. Vacation is tested with smrsh. kind regards Dirk - Dirk Meyer, Im Grund 4, 34317 Habichtswald, Germany # This is a shell archive.
