This patch updates the postgresql7 port to the released 7.0 version. It also fixes some long-standing minor nuisances in the postgres port (etc/rc.d/pgsql.sh now has start and stop, and the jar-file is put in a standard place). I know others have been working with this port, but its been quiet for while now, and I really needed to get the port, so... Sorry if I step any toes! Fix: Here's a uuencoded gz-file with a 'cvs diff -uN'. For cvs-ing, Please note that there are two new files that need to be added, patches/patch-bb and pkg/PLIST.doc. They're in the patch, diffed against /dev/null.
Responsible Changed From-To: gnats-admin->freebsd-ports This is a -ports PR.
I have fixed the etc/rc.d/pgsql.sh startup script to use the new pg_ctl program. To avoid confusion, I resend the entire patch. Only files/pgsql.sh.tmpl is really changed (apart from a small echo notice in Makefile). new patches/patch-bc. All in all, three new files to cvs add: patches/patch-bb, patches/patch-bc and pkg/PLIST.doc. BTW, maybe a repo copy postgresql7 -> postgresql should happen now? 7.0 is really more stable than 6.5.3 imho. /Palle
