* patch-ab: don't optimize (fix for alphas)
* remove patches/patch-makefile
* Honor PREFIX for the harmonics file location

* Typo fix: HAS_CONFIGURE to GNU_CONFIGURE

Committed, thanks! 

However, I did not rename patch-makefile to patch-aa for two reasons: 

a) To save repository space. 
b) I first saw David O'Brien using a patch-<filetopatch> naming scheme, and 
I like it a lot. It makes maintaince of patches a lot easier.
