Chapter 18.13 ("Encrypting Swap") of the FreeBSD handbook[0] mentions that geli_swap_flags can be used to alter default settings for encrypted swap devices. This flag has been made obsolete with commit r252310 [1] and during bootup (10.1-RELEASE) the following is printed now: /etc/rc: WARNING: $geli_swap_flags is obsolete. Ignored. So, if geli_swap_flags is really obsolete it should be removed from the documentation. But I wonder if it's still possible to change certain settings for encrypted swap devices. Thanks, C.
