14.3.3 >> The OPIE prompts provides a useful feature. Instead: The OPIE prompt provides a useful feature.
(In reply to kodcode from comment #0) Beginning at <https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/security/#one-time-passwords> (currently 14.3) … If I understand correctly: OPIE is, or can be, a series of prompts; plural. So, instead, maybe: > The OPIE prompts provide a useful feature. Although honestly, it's the type of sentence that I'd simply remove. (Like, everything in a handbook is, or should be, implicitly useful.)
(In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #1) Thanks. In order to limit the number of changes in that paragraph, I would stick with "The OPIE prompt provides...". As a complete newbie, spending a fair amount of time reading handbooks, I do appreciate the "relaxed" writing style in the FreeBSD handbook. True, if you use it merely as a reference book, such sentences have low or no value.
Fixed, thanks for the report.
