http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:12:i386/quarterly http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:12:amd64/quarterly disappeared however, 12.4 isn't in unsupported list https://www.freebsd.org/security/unsupported/ moreover, [as I understand] 13.x hasn't some old hardware drivers (e. g. network cards), so upgrade to 13/14 isn't even possible in some cases [my case]

Well, not "lost" as such -- "deleted". The entire 12.X branch was declared EOL as of 20231231. This had been announced some time previously. The documentation page you're citing is simply out-of-date. If you look at the "supported releases" you will not find 12.X. The commit in question is on 20140102: https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-doc/commit/a780e7baabd825a36ae1a06702e38d049c32ba95 mcl
Are there any (unofficial?) mirrors that retains it?
