Current version of SUN JDK for Linux is 1.3.1, version in ports is 1.3.0_02.

Fix: The following diff will update the port to 1.3.1. I migrated the patches too,
and introduced a few improvements in the Makefile and pkg-plist file. See
below.

I did some initial testing (with Ant and with a pretty large Swing app) and it
seems both `normal' and Swing programs function properly. I did notice one
problem, it seems PrintWriter does not auto-flush, although it is instructed
to.
