Description Kevin 2006-07-10 17:50:14 UTC
I have a client (Town of Hooksett, New Hampshire, US) who uses your software (FreeBSD 5.2). They had a power outage/surge last week and ever since then, they are not getting any email from outside their network. Is there anything that could have been done to the Unix system that could cause this issue? From what I can tell, the email goes to the system hosting FreeBDSD V 5.2 and forwards the email to a Windows 2003 Exchange Server. Any help you could provide would be fantastic. If you want to reach me by phone, you can call (603) 226-2722.

Thank you for any help you could provide.

You need to ask whoever installed the FreeBSD system in the first place
to help you. FreeBSD itself is maintained by a set of volunteers and not
sold as a commercial product. (Our web site does offer a list of companies
that offer commercial support for it, however).

Alternatively you could try asking your question on the mailing lists
freebsd-questions@, but you may be better off with someone on-site who
knows the OS.

Sigh. I was rude and closed this one as the anonymous GNATS user rather
than as myself, which probably sounded way too impersonal. Sorry about that.
Nevertheless, the points I made still hold.
