Bug 112539

Summary: Cyclic Dependency graphics/gimp <-> gimp-help
Product: Ports & Packages Reporter: Robert Backhaus <robbak>
Component: Individual Port(s)Assignee: freebsd-gnome (Nobody) <gnome>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Robert Backhaus 2007-05-09 03:10:04 UTC
While using portmaster, I triggered a cyclic dependency by selecting
the gimp-help file from the config screen. When you select gimp-help
from the config, gimp becomes dependent on gimp-help, and gimp-help
	lists a dependency on gimp.

Fix:

Work-around:Unselect the help file option from the make config screen.
Fix: My preferred fix would be to remove the gimp dependency from
gimp-help. It is possible that someone might want to install the help
docs on a maching without gimp (To serve them on a network, perhaps?
How-To-Repeat: Uninstall gimp help and gimp. Attempt to install gimp, and select the
	help file option.
