Description Kuteynikov Dmitriy 2007-11-06 10:30:01 UTC
When connecting to Main Site sysinstall types "Connecting (or logging) in to ftp@ftp.freebsd.org.." and nothing happens. I was waiting for a long period of time but it doesn't helped. Note that FreeBSD 6.2 worked fine. Choosing another mirror doesn't help too: it says that it couldn't connect/login/find ftp.ru.freebsd.org. Maybe network connection is not valid? But bfe0 and DHCP was configured OK.
P.S. Why minimal system cannot be installed from bootonly CD?

How-To-Repeat: Try to install FreeBSD 7.0-BETA2 from bootonly CD via FTP.

This is not a problem but a user question, please ask around on the
questions mailinglist
(http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions/), I dont
have a problem fetching whatever ISO file from the various mirrors, so
it seems something locally.
