Description Steve 2007-11-13 14:30:01 UTC
I'm getting the error "Bad system call (core dumped)" when I run
"noip2 -C" to create the config file for the noip port that you
maintain.

I csup'ed the ports collection immediately before installing the noip
port, so it is the most recent version.

Also, there is a more recent version of No-IP released on the site,
http://www.no-ip.com/downloads.php?page=linux
The latest version is 2.1.7, while the port is using 2.1.4

I attempted to email the maintainer, kay.abendroth@raxion.net, but the mail daemon said that there is a permanent failure with the message delivery.

How-To-Repeat: Steps to reproduce the problem:
-Install the dns/noip port.
-Run the command "noip2 -C" to create the configuration file.
I then get the error "Bad system call (core dumped)"

Hi,

I've submitted a patch to update dns/noip to version 2.1.7. Can you verify the problem still exists or has been fixed
with this version?

I've attached the updated version for you to test.

Kind regards,
Kay Abendroth

Hey,

It looks like it's been fixed. As far as I can see, it's working perfectly.

I appreciate the time!
