Description edwin 2008-02-12 11:40:00 UTC
While running the FreeBSD update tool to upgrade to 6.3, I got this
warning:

Fetching metadata signature for 6.3 from update1.FreeBSD.org... failed.
    No mirrors remaining, giving up.

That was my fault, I had specified "6.3" instead of "6.3-RELEASE".
But still, the tool could me in a more friendly way that the directory
6.3 didn't exist and that I should look with a webbrowser at
http://update1.freebsd.org/ to see which upgrade releases are
available.

Comment 3 Gerald Aryeetey 2019-01-14 16:31:05 UTC
This shouldn't be a problem anymore since if the release is specified as "6.3" it will automatically expand it to "6.3-RELEASE".

Drop freebsd-update PRs which were assigned to me. I'm not working on this code any more.
