Product: Base System Reporter: Bas van de Wiel <bas>
Component: powerpcAssignee: freebsd-ppc (Nobody) <ppc>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Unspecified
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Bas van de Wiel 2008-03-05 12:10:00 UTC
Install CD won't boot at all. The kernel appears to be loading, then the screen simply blanks. Fans slowly spin up to full speed, which implies a complete system freeze. This is on a PowerMac G5 dual 2GHz.

How-To-Repeat: Simply boot from the 7.0 ppc install CD (disc 1)

FreeBSD has not yet been ported to the G5, so what you're seeing is expected.
