Bug 121977

Summary: FreeBSD 7.0 (network problems)
Product: Base System Reporter: Evgeniy <evgeniy>
Component: kernAssignee: Gavin Atkinson <gavin>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 7.0-STABLE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Evgeniy 2008-03-22 23:20:00 UTC
After transition with FreeBSD 6.3 on 7.0 problems with a network have begun.
By transfer of greater files on a server with FreeBSD 7.0 there are mistakes in independence of a method of work to a network (keque, poll, select)
By transfer of the big file (1,4Gb), connection breaks with a mistake " Operation timed out " from a server.
The problem is shown on any software which I tried upload a file on a server: http server nginx (from a web form), lighthttpd (from a web form), pureftpd.

The channel from a server is considerably loaded ~60-80Mbit\s
The Channel to a server is practically free.

The problem disappears, if I limit the channel from a server to a limit in 10Mbit.

Adjustment of parameters of a kernel, replacement of a network card and pachcornds, switching in other port of the provider have not given result.

Losses of packages are, but they are insignificant.
